Stop motion mapping in nature under moon light animation mapping video film technology

Stop motion mapping in nature under moon light animation mapping video film technology

Stop motion (also known as stop frame)

is an animation technique to make a physically manipulated object appear to move on its own. The object is moved in small increments between individually photographed frames, creating the illusion of movement when the series of frames is played as a continuous sequence. Dolls with movable joints or clay figures are often used in stop motion for their ease of repositioning.

Stop motion animation

using plasticine is called clay animation or "clay-mation". Not all stop motion requires figures or models; many stop motion films can involve using humans, household appliances and other things for comedic effect. Stop motion using objects is sometimes referred to as Object animation.

A year comes to an end... with lots of stop-motions published. Here we have the 5 most liked and shared videos of this year 2012:

3D Video Projection Mapping

. is an astonishing projection technology that allows to create dynamic displays out of any surfaces. High Tech software is used to distort any projected image in order to fit perfectly the uneven shaped screens. This relatively new technique made people around the world incredibly creative and they started to illuminate buildings, architectural elements, 3d elements, statues or sometimes amazing projects used in advertising as those for the Pepsi Can or for running shoes.

Video mapping first gained notoriety through guerilla advertising campaigns and video jockeys for electronic musicians. These advertising campaigns commonly used mapping techniques to project interactive scenes onto the sides of buildings. Common techniques for these performances included both 3-D mapping techniques and 3D projection to create the illusion of depth. In the electronic dance music community, it is becoming increasingly common for VJs to accompany the music with synced visuals. Though normal projection screens are commonly used, some visual artists are beginning to create custom made, 3D installations to project onto.

After the object is chosen or created, a virtual replica of the entire physical set up needs to be created. A virtual model of the projection surface is created, and placed within a virtual environment. Coordinates need to be defined for where the object is placed in relation to the projector. Finally, the xyz orientation, position and lens specification of the projector are adding to the virtual scene.Adjustments are commonly needed by manually tweaking either the physical or virtual scene for best results.

Fantastic Urban Projection futurist mapping video from Istanbul Urbane Projektionen von Türkei

With theart of urban projection growing, the city scope has started blasting out into contexts beyond simply pretty pictures on building. Yekpare is one of the most amazing pieces in the format that I've seen yet. Art-directed by Deniz Kader and Candaş Şişman of the firm Nerdworking and soundtracked by Görkem Şen, Yekpare is a project that douses Istanbul's Haydarpaşa Train Station in the symbological 8,500 year history of the city. From the writeup:

The story embraces symbols from Pagans to Roman Empire, from Byzantine Empire to Latin Empire, and finally from Ottoman Empire to Istanbul at the present day...
Haydarpaşa Train Station, with its brilliant architectural forms, is the building on which the story is projected. The connection between middle east to west has been provided by Istanbul and Haydarpaşa since 1906.
Fantastic Urban Projection from Istanbul

The project's conceptual, political and geographical positioning, the location's depth of field and the fact that the entire show can be watched from Kadıköy coast; make "Yekpare" a dramatic presentation.

Against The Grain

Against The Grain

Against the Grain is the fifth album (and seventh release overall)by punk rock band Bad Religion released on November 23, 1990.This was the last album recorded with drummer Pete Finestone who left in 1991 to concentrate with his new project The Fishermen. Following his departure, the band's music would take a different direction on their next album, 1992's Generator.

Against the Grain
Like Bad Religion's previous two albums, Suffer and No Control,Against the Grain is considered by many to be the band's greatest album, and it contains many songs that are constantly cited as the band's best, including "Faith Alone", "21st Century (Digital Boy)", "Anesthesia", "Walk Away", "Against the Grain", "God Song" and "Modern Man".[citation needed] Despite no promotion by radio and television, Against The Grain managed to sell over 100,000 copies. A tiny part of the album's title track is played in a segment of the same name on The Dan Patrick Show.
